Information used to operate the service

No public profile is required. The service and Cloudflare may process network information, security signals, cookies, device capabilities, chat routing data, and privacy-preserving abuse identifiers to deliver and protect chats.

Production WebRTC is relay-only so participants do not directly receive one another’s IP address. Operators and infrastructure providers still process network addresses as needed to provide and secure the service.

Reports and evidence

Text messages are routed through the active session coordinator and a bounded transcript may be attached when someone reports a chat.

For video, a temporary rolling buffer remains in the reporter’s browser unless a report is submitted. A report may upload up to ten minutes of the stranger’s available video and audio. Reporter-submitted evidence is unverified and is labeled that way for moderators.

Evidence is scheduled for deletion after the configured retention period, with a storage lifecycle rule as a backstop. Report metadata, moderation actions, and audit records can remain after media deletion for safety and accountability.
